Towns & Cities

There are two towns and two cities that make up ALA Laurel Girls State!  Each town or city is named after a prominent figure in Connecticut politics or Connecticut History!


Laurel Girls State has hosted speakers from all branches of government (executive, legislative, judicial) and all levels (local, state, federal).   ALALGS has been visited by  Former Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman and Mayor Erin Stewart as well as other successful women legislators!

Our Parties

At ALA Laurel Girls State, we have two parties: The Nationalists and the Federalists.  Each party is tasked with voting on leadership, platform, and candidates for state-wide office.
